Olde English Bulldogges are super loyal with stable and predictable temperments. They get along great with children and carry a happy, outgoing, eager to please personality. They are sensitive to correction and wear their hearts on their sleeves. If provided a stern correction expect your dog to respond with an immediate "sorry Mom or Dad" face. The Olde English lives to please. Once they understand what you want, and you take the time to properly train them, they will go out of their way to do it.
The Olde English Bulldogge is not naturally animal or people aggresive. It is often said that they are "Non-aggresive but Prepared". They should never belooking for a confrontation but you need not worry about your child being hurt by a stranger if your Old English Bulldogge is around!
As with all breeds there is a caveat with some female dogs. Not all female dogs will get along with other female dogs. Its just a dog thing.
The Olde English Bulldogge is not prone to as many health problems and sensitivities as their English Bulldog varient. Loosing a dog prematurely to sickness or any other means can be tramatic to children and adults alike. Loving and owning an Olde is one way to avoid this trauma.
The Olde English Bulldogge is a throwback dog; meaning they have the physical stability and health of the original 1800's bulldogge without their infamous aggression problems. They are able to run around with the kids and enjoy long walks without serious breathing problems. Our Olde's are often taken on 2 and 3 mile walks around the city with no issues. English Bulldogs are sensitive to both heat and cold. Olde English Bulldogges can survive outside in the heat and slight cold with the proper shelter. Please keep in mind that Olde's love nothing more then to be with their familys so leaving them outside is not recommended.
Call us superficial but they are awesome looking dogs! The Olde English bulldogge is more muscular than the English bulldog. They have large heads, wide chests, big faces and they're cute as can be. It is not at all uncommon for Olde English Bulldogge owners to be stopped by admirers while walking their dogs. People always want to know the Olde's name and where you got yours from. All of the wonderful personality qualities aside these dogs look awesome.
